Do you specialize in medication-assisted treatment for depression? Let us know!
New specialty supports members with treatment-resistant depression
If you specialize in medication-assisted treatment for depression, we need YOU to let us know.
DEA licensed prescribers of Spravato® (esketamine) can now add MAT Spravato as a specialty in our provider directory.
By sharing your specialties in Magellan’s provider directory, you help identify—at a glance—the member’s best options for treatment/therapy. Plus, if one of your specialties appears to be compatible with their concern, you increase your chances for getting the referral.
Display/edit your specialties today!
- Go to www.MagellanProvider.com and sign in securely with your username and password.
- From the left-hand menu, click Display/Edit Practice Information. The first tab that displays is the Provider Data Change Form.
- Select the Specialties, Languages & Age Range section to add/edit your current behavioral specialties. (You’ll be able to select your own specialties from a master list of over 100.)
Spravato® is a nasal spray prescription medicine for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in adults. It can only be administered at healthcare settings certified in the Spravato Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Program and to patients enrolled in the program. For more information on the Spravato REMS program requirements, visit www.spravatorems.com.
Authorization and claims reimbursement
Make sure to check member eligibility, benefits, and authorization information with the health plan prior to prescribing Spravato® (esketamine), since this benefit can vary by plan. For rates, refer to the Spravato® billing codes on your Magellan reimbursement schedule.
