In the wake of California wildfires, Magellan providers respond
Crisis resources available, 24/7/365
Some of Magellan’s network providers in California have faced evacuation due to wildfires and have continued to support as many members as possible. Other providers in Magellan’s network who staff critical incidents* have also been called to support individuals in the areas impacted by wildfires, including first responders. We value providers’ efforts to help our members cope with the difficult emotions and practical challenges they face in the wake of tragedies. |

“In a crisis, people’s lives are turned upside down. They can feel anxious or lost, wondering ‘What am I supposed to do now?’ Where do I go from here?’” said Dianna Marshall, senior director of clinical care services. “We want them to know they have support and resources – that Magellan is here to help. That is a big part of what we do; maybe the most important part.”
Magellan's crisis support line opened in JanuaryTo support anyone—not just Magellan members—impacted by the wildfires, Magellan opened our 24-hour crisis line in January. The toll-free number to access free, confidential consultation services is 1-800-327-7451.
